This course focuses on developing the analytical and essay writing skills required for success in English Literature. Learners are taught how to construct clear, focused essays in response to literary texts, with emphasis on planning, paragraphing and thesis-driven argument. The course guides pupils in how to embed and analyse quotations effectively, explore language, form and structure, and link ideas to context and theme. Students learn how to shape personal responses while maintaining a formal, academic tone. By the end of the course, learners will be able to write thoughtful, coherent and well-supported essays with confidence and precision.
11+ English Language Reading Comprehension

Transational Writing (Non-Fiction)
AGE GROUP : 9 – 11 YEARS OLD
This course focuses on developing the skills needed to produce clear, confident and purposeful non-fiction writing. Learners engage with a range of transactional forms—including letters, speeches, articles, reviews and essays—tailored to specific audiences and intentions.
The course emphasises effective argument structure, persuasive techniques, and the use of appropriate tone and register. Learners are taught to organise ideas logically, support their views with evidence, and use varied vocabulary and sentence structures for impact. By the end of the course, they will be able to plan, draft and refine engaging non-fiction texts with clarity, accuracy and control.
Creative and Imaginative writing (Fiction)
AGE GROUP : 9 – 11 YEARS OLD
This course is designed to develop learners’ confidence and skill in writing original fiction. Learners are taught how to craft engaging narratives through vivid description, character development and effective story structure. The course explores a range of techniques including imagery, dialogue, tension and viewpoint, encouraging writing that is both imaginative and purposeful.
Emphasis is placed on strong openings, atmospheric detail, and maintaining tone and pace throughout. Through structured planning, drafting and editing, learners refine their vocabulary, grammar and sentence variety. By the end of the course, they will be able to produce compelling, coherent stories with creativity and control.
